Celiac Disease and Kids

A diagnosis with celiac disease can be absolutely devastating for young people. From the very young who seem to love carbohydrate-rich foods so much to the awkward teenage years when kids are likely to fear nothing more than being different, celiac kids really do need our caring and support.

Parents of a child newly diagnosed with celiac disease have a difficult task too, from trying to educate and motivate their child to stay gluten-free, to the sometimes challenging job of getting schools to support the need for a gluten free diet.

We've designed the list of books on this page to try to help celiac kids and their parents. Sometimes just reading of the problems faced by others can make our own difficulties easier to manage. Good luck to all of you.
